Just as with our guide listing the best weapons in Mass Effect 1, 2 & 3, this page is going to be a little complicated - in large part because how armor is treated changes a little between each game in the trilogy. While the Mass Effect Trilogy might have heavy elements of a shooter, all three games are really RPGs at heart - and what is an RPG without a load of loot and character customization to worry about?
